A Letter from Anna Meyer
Hello Everyone!
My name is Anna Meyer, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve as the
President of Sigma Alpha. I am so excited to share with you all the reasons why the women of the Alpha Chapter will always have a special place in my heart.
Growing up on my family's farm, I was introduced to an industry that strives to provide for others and exemplifies nothing but hard work and sacrifice. As I watched my sister join Sigma Alpha during her time at OSU, I realized that the community and industry that I found at home was everywhere, especially in the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Alpha.
When it was my turn to start my journey at Ohio State, Sigma Alpha was my first stop. It was there that I found life-long friendships with women who encouraged me, challenged me, celebrated with me, and stood beside me through every joy and growing pain that comes with becoming who you’re meant to be. In 1978, our five founders set out to create something truly special, a place where their passion for agriculture could bring women together, cultivate leadership, and open
doors for personal and professional growth within the industry.
Today, that vision continues to guide us. At the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Alpha, we strive to honor their legacy by fostering a sisterhood rooted in support and purpose. Our hope is that every woman who walks through our doors finds a place to belong and the confidence to pursue her goals.
In sisterhood,
Anna Meyer
President of the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Alpha
