A Letter from Ana Ramirez

Welcome to Alpha Chi Omega at The Ohio State University! My name is Ana Ramirez, and I have the honor of serving as the 2025 Chapter President.

Alpha Chi Omega developed a group of Real, Strong Women and was first formed in 1885, and then later established on Ohio State’s campus in September of 1923. Our philanthropy is Domestic Violence Awareness, and we have the privilege of working closely with a local Franklin County domestic violence shelter, CHOICES. As a chapter, we are dedicated to learning, spreading awareness, and educating our community about domestic violence. Over the years, we have fundraised for CHOICES to best support the shelter.

Our chapter is made up of diverse, driven, and passionate women who bring their unique strengths to the sisterhood every day. As Alpha Chis, we strive to live out our five core values: Character, Leadership Ability, Academic Interest, Personal Development, and Responsibility. At the heart of our sisterhood, we strive to embody these values in everything we do. We believe in being genuine and supporting one another in every aspect of college life and beyond.

Alpha Chi Omegas are making their mark everywhere, on and off campus! You can find our women involved in undergraduate research, becoming leaders in other student organizations, and traveling out of the country for internships. More specifically, we have girls involved in Buckeyethon, Suicide Prevention, Student-Alumni Council, Acapella Groups, and countless other organizations. We are so proud to have a chapter filled with so many girls who care for their communities!

I am so lucky to be a part of a sisterhood that makes it feel like home. Joining a sorority is about finding your home, lifelong friends, and your purpose. I can proudly say that being in Alpha Chi Omega has allowed me to become a better version of myself. I know I can count on each and every member in this chapter. Throughout my time in Alpha Chi Omega, I have found my people
who are there for me no matter the occasion.

If you have any questions about Alpha Chi Omega or just general questions about what it is like to be a part of Greek Life, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact me! You can find me on our social media or on the website. I am more than happy to share more about what a sisterhood is like and help you in any way I can to navigate you through this exciting journey!
