Welcome to Alpha Chi Omega!

My name is Melina Kopczewski, and I am so excited to be serving as the 2026 Chapter President.

Alpha Chi Omega is a community of Real, Strong Women. Our fraternity was founded in 1885 at DePauw University and was later established on Ohio State’s campus in September of 1923. As the 10th women’s fraternity in the country, our history spans more than 135 years and includes over 300,000 women’s stories.

Alpha Chi Omega is deeply committed to our philanthropy, Domestic Violence Awareness. We are honored to work closely with CHOICES, a local Franklin County domestic violence shelter, to advocate for survivors and promote education within our community. As a chapter, we strive to raise awareness, foster understanding, and make a lasting impact.

Our chapter is filled with women who are committed to seeking the heights and excelling in all that they do. As Alpha Chis, we strive to live out our five core values: Character, Leadership Ability, Academic Interest, Personal Development, and Responsibility. At the heart of our sisterhood, we embody these values in every space we enter, whether it be in the classroom, across campus organizations, within leadership roles, and in the way we encourage and support one another daily. 

We believe in being genuine and uplifting each other through every aspect of college life and beyond. Rooted in a deep history of inclusion and belonging, Alpha Chi strives to be a home for everyone. We are committed to celebrating each individual and empowering them to grow into the best version of themselves while reaching their fullest potential.

From walking into 103 E. 15th for the first time to gaining lifelong friendships and growing both personally and professionally, the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega have strengthened me in more ways than I could have imagined.
