Hey everyone!

My name is Sarah Turchetta and I have the biggest privilege of serving as the Chapter President of Pi Beta Phi. I am a sophomore from East Greenwich, Rhode Island but slowly adapting to being an Ohio girl! Enjoy our website and taking a peek into our sisterhood!

Coming to Ohio State not knowing a single person on campus, I was desperate to meet people. But, I didn't want to just meet people, I wanted to find my best friends. My freshman year was ridden with COVID and first semester, I only knew a handful of people. I decided to try Greek life, totally unsure of where I was going to end up or if I was even going to end up anywhere. I chose Pi Beta Phi, and they chose me. I never would have imagined that Pi Phi was going to be my forever home. While I wanted to find my own best friend, I also wanted to be someone's best friend. I wanted to find my people. I can whole heartedly say, I found my people at Pi Phi. Joining Pi Beta Phi has changed my college experience at Ohio State. It truly made a place over 700 miles away feel like home.

Pi Phi has taught me how to not just celebrate my wins but learn from my losses. Pi Phi has taught me how to lean on others and know it truly is okay to ask for help. Pi Phi has taught me who I am to the core. It has challenged me and pushed me to a place I never would have thought possible. I was a very timid Freshman and now I serve as the Chapter President. Pi Phi took a chance on me and believed in me. I know that when, and not if, I fall, I will have over 200 girls to catch me. For that, I owe it all and am forever grateful for Pi Beta Phi.

I encourage you to go through recruitment. While scary, it is the best decision I've ever made. It is SO worth it. Lean into the process. Trust the process. You won't regret it. You will not just have best friends, but hundreds of sisters to push you, catch you, and love you unconditionally. I found mine at Pi Beta Phi and I hope you find yours, too. Thank you for reading more about Pi Beta Phi!
