Hi Everyone!

My name is Elle Painter, and I have the privilege of serving as President of Kappa Delta, Sigma Kappa Chapter! I am so excited for you all to begin sorority recruitment! It is one of the highlights of my college experience at The Ohio State University.

What an exciting time this is for you! Sorority recruitment is an amazing experience, and I can guarantee that it will be one that you will never forget. I was in your shoes two years ago, and I know exactly how you must be feeling. The time leading up to recruitment is exciting, nerve wracking, and honestly a little stressful, but I am here to assure you that while the nerves are extremely real, we truly cannot wait to meet you.

When I came to Ohio State, I was overwhelmed by the large campus and was looking for a place where I felt like I belonged. As soon as I walked into the Kappa Delta house, I knew I had found what I was looking for. It felt like I was

talking to someone I had known for years, and I saw genuine friendship between the women, one I wanted to be apart of! Kappa Delta has given me my life long friendships I never dreamed possible. It truly is a sisterhood, and--coming from a family with one brother--it was one I never knew I needed.

During recruitment, it is important to be unapologetically yourself. Confidence is key, and it is the main feature of being a Kappa Delta woman. We believe that the first aspect of promoting confidence is creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcomed and has the opportunity to thrive. We believe in the constant path to learning and we strive to promote confidence and leadership in our members, on campus, and within our communities. Once I found the place where I could be myself and feel confident in who I am, the rest fell into place.

I would not be the woman I am today if I had not chosen to go through sorority recruitment. Being in a sorority has given me the opportunity to build relationships with 200+ women, to build strong leadership, and to have this amazing support system that has my back no matter what. I am forever thankful for Kappa Delta and OSU Greek Life and what they both have given me.

For all of you who choose to go through recruitment, I am rooting for all of you to find your forever home and a sisterhood that supports you, lifts you up, and gives you that sense of belonging.

Thank you so much for visiting our page! I hope you enjoy learning more about Kappa Delta and what it is like to be a sister in our chapter!

Go Confidently,

Elle Painter
