Hello!
My name is Tessa Kreikemeier, and I am absolutely honored to be the president of Tri
Delta at Ohio State. I am so happy that you made it here to our website, and I hope you enjoy
your sneak peek at what makes Tri Delta so special. During my recruitment journey, I had no
idea what to expect, especially since I was an out-of-state student. I was looking to find a group
of women that would help me develop into a better version of myself by pushing me to grow as
a leader, a student, and a friend. Additionally, I was searching for a group that shared my same
passion for philanthropy and community service, as I wanted to make a positive difference in
the world. After philanthropy round, I was amazed by the passion the Tri Delta women had for
St. Jude, and it excited me to get a glimpse into their strong sisterhood too. By preference round, I knew that
Tri Delta was the place for me—my home away from home. Upon joining the
chapter, immediately felt welcomed by all of the older members and I truly felt at home. I
gained so many new friendships and found so many new role models, whom I looked up to
because of their strong values and morals.
Now, having been a member for three years, I can honestly say that Tri Delta has
exceeded all the expectations I had when going through recruitment. Every day, I grow to love
Tri Delta more and more. The women in this chapter are truly amazing and have helped me to
grow as an individual. Our values of truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship are held so deeply by
the women in our chapter, and my sisters live out these values each day. Tri Delta women are
brave, bold, and kind alike to all. They are unselfish leaders that constantly encourage their
sister to build a stronger and more womanly character. I could not be prouder to be a Tri Delta
woman. Tri Delta Nu chapter at Ohio State is consistently one of the top fundraising sororities
on campus, raising tens of thousands of dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital every
semester.
Currently, Tri Delta consists of 198 diverse women from all over the country. While we
all have different majors, different backgrounds, and different families, Tri Delta is unique in the
aspect that we all share the same core values, while continuing to honor and celebrate our
differences. We do not want you to come to Tri Delta to be like us, we want you to come to Tri
Delta to be you. Tri Delta allows you to be your authentic self and encourages you to embrace
your inner uniqueness.
As a PNM, I hope to encourage you to keep an open mind throughout the entirety of the
recruitment process. Take some time to reflect on the values you look for in friends and how
that may translate to what you are looking for in a sorority. Find the chapter that feels like
home. Look around at the women in each chapter and ask yourself if you can imagine them as
your sisters and role-models. Stay true to yourself and find the chapter that celebrates exactly
who you are and acknowledges who you want to become. Also, get excited! There are so many
amazing opportunities ahead for you.
Thank you again for visiting our page and for reading a little bit more about our chapter
and what it means to me. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or
concerns. My sisters and I hope to meet you soon.
Delta Love,
Tessa Kreikemeier, Tri Delta Collegiate Chapter President
