Dear PNMs,

I am so excited to welcome you to the Zeta Alpha Chapter of Chi Omega at The Ohio State University. My name is Sadie Hutsenpiller and I am the current president of our chapter. This experience has been an absolute dream and I consider myself incredibly lucky to be leading such a wonderful group of women.

Recruitment is always a fun, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming time of year. There is often a whirlwind of things happening all around you as you try to take it all in. I remember feeling all of these things when I began my recruitment process. I had little to no understanding of Greek life as a whole and decided to just try it out. This was one of the best decisions I could’ve made for myself. After rounds and rounds of learning all about different chapters and sisterhoods, I found myself looking forward to the conversations I would have at Chi Omega. I felt heard, seen, and instantly at home despite just meeting these women and having the experience completely online. Chi Omega made me feel celebrated for just being 100% authentically myself.

Bid day began my immense love for Chi Omega and it has grown every day since then. Here, I have found my forever people, been inspired by our goals and values, and have been pushed to become the best version of myself. I am so proud to call Chi Omega my home and share in this beautiful sisterhood. Since 1919, the Zeta Alpha chapter of Chi Omega has been a home away from home and a place to pursue our six purposes in both our own lives and in our community. For over one hundred years, our sorority has fostered love, joy, and friendship to our members and I am so grateful to be a part of it. It has truly been an honor to be a member of this organization over the past few years.

As you go through recruitment, keep your mind open, trust the process, and be unequivocally yourself! My deepest hope is that you find the kind of outward love and comfort I felt during every conversation with Chi Omega. Recruitment can be stressful and even daunting sometimes, but finishing the process and running to your new home is a feeling no words can describe.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your experience and I cannot wait to meet you all! Enjoy the process, take it all in, and let your heart guide you to where you are meant to be. I hope you experience all the wonderful things Greek life has to offer and feel the same love for Chi Omega as I did.

LICO,

Sadie Hutsenpiller
